Training Workshops for Student Leaders in Singapore School

Training Workshops for Student Leaders in Singapore School

On 16 March 2016, Klover Asia conducted a series of training workshops for the premier CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School in Singapore. Student leaders from the Student Council and various Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) groups attended one of three training workshops.

These half-day sessions were catered for the Secondary Two to Four students, who have prior leadership exposure, and the programme was devoted to content which would be beneficial for their performance as the (level) heads of their organisations. The topics focused on Project Planning and Management, Problem Solving and Ethics of Leadership, and the trainers absorbed the interests of the workshop participants with a variety of mediums, for example, videos, hands-on group activities and games, and case studies.

The trainers also encouraged the student leaders to actively draw on their leadership experience. As a result, the trainers held engaging discussions on real-life situations encountered related to the topics on-hand, which no doubt further value-added to the learning by showcasing how the theories learnt can be applied first-hand.

Judging from the responses given below by these student leaders, the workshops were definitely a success!
