The teachers engaged in experiential learning specifically in Cooperative Learning, Differentiated Instruction, Critical and Creative Thinking and Effective Questioning Techniques. They learned how they could use, for example, 3-2-1 questioning and forms of cooperative groupings to enhance student learning. They also engaged in hands-on activities which required them to contextualise and apply what they have learned in real life classrooms. 


During the workshops, the importance of placing the students at the centre of learning when planning pedagogical approaches, the art of listening, exercising flexibility to adjust pedagogies according to students’ responses were reiterated to the teacher participants. According to the teachers, they gained insights into the practical advantages and challenges these different pedagogical approaches and strategies offer. The key personnel also shared that they acquired fresh perspectives on classroom teaching as well as facilitation of training for teachers.
