Community of Practices (CoP) - Mentoring and Coaching

“A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.” – Bob Proctor

On August 11th 2017, Klover Asia conducted another Mentoring and Coaching workshop at the cluster level. Close to 20 Senior Teachers (STs), Lead Teachers (LTs) and School Leaders (SLs) from the S1 cluster participated in or observed the two-and-half hour session.

During the course, the STs and LTs were exposed to the finer points of mentoring and coaching. The content was brought across using authentic case studies and in-depth discussions which centred on practical application by the participants back in their schools.

The workshop was well-received by the STs and LTs who found the knowledge very relevant and highly practical.

What our participants had to say after the workshop:

“Wonderful and knowledgeable trainer. ” – Rashidah Rajah, Xinghua Primary School

“I learnt about how to mentor a more experienced teacher tactfully. [The] Authentic case studies hit close to home… Very useful tips. Thanks!” – Eunice Chan, Senior Teacher

“I learnt a lot about mentoring… The concepts are clear and very easy to understand. The case studies were very helpful and [the] feedback was great and enriching! Overall a very meaningful and engaging session!” – Pearlyn See, C.H.I.J. Our Lady of Good Counsel
